CHURCH

BRICK LANE & FOREST GATE

Our Story

Church

As well as being a charity and a cafe, Kahaila is also a church.

We are people who earnestly desire to emulate the life and teaching of Jesus Christ. We are about relationship not religion, about fullness of life not legislation. We are committed to live life under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We do not have all of the answers, so we rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to transform us into the likeness of Jesus. We believe that the Bible is the most life transforming book of all time, in it we believe the true character of God is revealed. Our desire is to discover more of who God is through scripture and let that transform the way we live.

Coronavirus Update - September 2021

Due to current coronavirus restrictions, our church activities and gatherings look a bit different at the moment. Currently, we gather together in Brick Lane on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm for an informal church gathering. Everyone is welcome to join, if you would like more information, please email paul.unsworth@kahaila.com.

If you would like any more information about the church and what happens, please feel free to email Paul. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join us at any of our gatherings.

If you would like to get the most up-to-date news about the church, please sign up to our newsletter here.

Our Values

BELONGING

Kahaila is a place where all people belong regardless of what they believe.

FAITH

We seek to live by faith – we do not want to be limited by our circumstances or paralysed by our fear.

COMMUNITY

Kahaila is a community which means we want to put other before ourselves.

GENEROSITY

We believe in generous giving – we want to be generous with all things, our finances, our time and our resources.

SERVING

We believe in every member ministry, therefore we understand that God has a purpose for each one of us, so we are here to help each other to fulfil that purpose.

DONATE

Our projects and the church exist and survive due to the generosity of people. Giving your money, your time or your expertise could make a great difference to the work that we do. If you feel able to give financially, there are two ways you can give; you can click below to set up a monthly donation via Direct Debit or, if you prefer, you can make a donation in person at our Brick Lane Cafe.
